The Jetties at the Brazos Santiago Pass

A place that everyone just runs on by here at the jetties is one of my favorites. North jettties, surfside, starting in knee deep water, just hug along the rocks inside the secret channel that is cut out that not many knows about. Be careful not to cross the path of the fishermens' lines. Remember, we all have the liberty of enjoying the jetties. besides, you don't have to go far or fast here, there is a lot to see, if you go slow and peek inside all the crevases and holes the jetties provide. Hint: the slower you go, the less spooked the fish are. Moving fast makes the fish think they are about to be someone's lunch and take off. It is a fish eat fish world here, they get to be either breakfest, lunch or dinner sooner or later , and I think they prefer later, just a hunch. (or did I mean lunch?)

The Mansfield Jetties

4 wheel to this one. A great adventure... Just getting to this place is fun !

You won't get lost looking for the "jax jetties." Get onto the beach and drive north and you will run right into them, that is if you don't get too sidetracked along the way, playing in the sanddunes and checking out all the neat stuff that floats onto the beach.

If you don't want to chance getting seasick and want to make a full day out adventuring, try this place. Bring a kayak and paddle across to the north side and see what most have been missing. (Not many humans make it here.) Or a short walk on the south side , (nothing like the hike to the end of the Brazos Santiago jetties) and visit the "jax jetties".

Childrens beach

Nav stand, great for checking out your gear.

The Convention Center ditch

Another good gear check out dive and a good beginners nite divesite. Afterwards, build a campfire and have a good time there with your friends telling dive stories.

Dolphin Cove

Lots of sanddollars. Cool Beach, and a great bar.
