| As I was about to reset my odo before an enduro, the adjuster / reset knob pulled right off. | |||||
| I found that the screw was missing and that there wasn't an easy way to disassemble the unit completely. I did find that a #2-56 x 1/4" screw fit perfectly. Oop, no pic of the screw .......... |

| After the screw was installed, I thought about plugging up the hole somehow to not lose the screw again, then wondered how I could make a better way of adjusting the knob. I had been using a battery operated drill with a socket that fit over the knob, then used a crecent wrench to hold out the knob. That all was a bit cumbersome, but fast! But all that didn't really fit into my tool kit very well so I came up with another idea ........ never a loss for ideas ....... |

| I went looking for an organ donor from my tool boxes and found this. A 3/16 hex with a 1/4" drive. I hammered (gently) the 3/16 end into the knob with the knob being held in a vise and got a tight, snug fit. |

| Using some tape and hot melt glue, fixed it into place. | |||||
| Now you can begin to see the extra reach I've got. | |||||
| Finding a 1/4" socket and using it on my T handle, you can see that it will easily clear the headlight assembly. I'm keeping this a part of my riding tool kit as it only takes one small extra socket. I would like to find a light weight version like comes with this T handle. |

| I'm set up with another tool for my bigger and more extensive tool kit, seperate from my riding tool kit. Now clicking backwards a hundred miles or so isn't such a chore! I do plan on looking into getting the TrailTech "Vapor" when it becomes available and replace this stock unit. |
